Serket Goddess, also known as Serqet, Selkis, and Selket, stands as the Egyptian goddess of protection, closely linked with the symbolism of the scorpion. Revered extensively in Lower Egypt, she held the role of the great Mother Goddess. Serket is typically depicted as a scorpion or as a woman with a scorpion adorning her head. A golden statue of this goddess was unearthed in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, positioned at the canopic chest or shrine within the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, safeguarding his soul and treasures.
