There is a cosmic jungle between Venus and the Moon where the sunset and sunrise melt into one. A rich golden glow illuminates this world reminding us that through nature everything is possible.
Welcome to Tropia. A tropical utopia.
Tropia Art is a land steeped in mythology, mystique and allure. It is a place where leopards bask in the afternoon sun, lions shelter under palm trees and warrior Goddesses invite you to live in harmony with Mother Nature. Women from far and wide, walk the land of Tropia cloaked in folklore and tradition displaying their wisdom through bold symbolism.
With each drop of ink, Jil-Laura enriches her hand-drawn illustrations with the energy of the cosmos. Not one design is the same. The sacred power that each drawing holds remains potent due to the special print run and the high quality of the natural cotton paper on which it is printed. Jil-Laura creates each limited edition, signed and numbered print as a talisman to protect and heal the onlooker.
From the zodiac to the lunar cycle Tropia reminds us of our cosmic ancestral heritage. We each hold the essence of Tropia inside of us.
It is the embodiment of feminine energy and an everlasting connection with the natural world.
“If you have arrived here, you have heard the calling to reconnect with that magic that was once highly admired.”
The palm tree is the symbol of Tropia because in ancient times it was the solar tree of the soul that accompanied the Goddess. Palms are the warriors of the botanical world, constantly adapting to their surroundings while maintaining their beauty in the process. They are the gatekeepers of Tropia, majestically bidding you to glimpse into the imagination of the artist Jil-Laura.
The magic of myths and legends is used as a tool to remind us of the women who came before us. The tapestry of ancient wisdom that has been passed down through generations is brought to life by female muses who act as guides – to be called upon when needed most.

“It is time to reclaim the feminine spirituality
and live in harmony with nature. Tropia shines
a light on a time when women were aware of
their divinity.
Through her art, Jil-Laura summons you to

you are told to be.

About the Artist
Jil Laura was born in the lands of western Germany where forests and infinite green fields predominate. She has been drawing since she was 3 years old, the age from which she can more or less hold a pencil. Since then, her parents have collected her drawings, folders and folders full of her since she does practically nothing else as a child than draw, so much so that they come to consider her autistic, but she was always comfortable in her own world full of fantasy and creativity.
She is surrounded by her traveling and adventurous family, closely connected with nature. Seeing different places and cultures from a young age arouses her curiosity and marks her multicultural inspiration.
She becomes an independent and traveling woman at only 16 years old when she loses her mother at this age. This event marks her deeply and makes her focus on feminine energy and strength to overcome any obstacle. Her mother from the world of fashion gave her an interest in visual aesthetics from a young age.
After spending long years living in Spain with her family, she decides to travel the world through Berlin, Bali, California and other places always related to some of her artistic projects.
Since she was 18 years old, she has been working in international Advertising Agencies both in Berlin and Barcelona, which give her the deep professional experience to later set up her own design studio at only 25 years old. Since then she has combined with confidence the world of design with the world of illustration, managing to solve each project with lots of passion, experience and most important, with the heart.
