This Mexican Olmeca tribe artwork draws inspiration from archaeological findings in Xalapa, Mexico. The Olmeca gods were intricately connected to agriculture and natural elements, encompassing the sun, water, volcanoes, animals, and palm trees. The Olmeca Tribe embodied their beliefs with the assistance of influential shamans, particularly through the creation of “transformation figures” that seamlessly blended human and animal characteristics in their artistic depictions. These figures served as talismans, with one of the most notable examples being the Jaguar God.
This Olmeca art print represents a newer version, featuring a softer color palette, of the Limited Edition Print Ancient Force.
