The Eagle Dance is a ritual dance practiced by native civilizations, Shamans and Magicians. It is used by the tribes to ask for rain or to ask for peace and cure. It originated from the american native Calumet dance and is performed with wings from birds on the arms, imitating movements that represent the eagle. This mighty bird is deeply connected to the sun symbol and is associated to all important sky gods. It represents inspiration, release from bondage, victory, longevity, speed, pride, father relationship and royalty. Also the eagle’s eye is often used as a symbol of sharpness and accuracy.
