Australia is one of the continents where more wildlife remains. On many of its coasts, nature merges with its thousand beaches and Australia’s most symbolic animal, the kangaroo, loves to take a few jumps on the beach or even sunbathe lying on the sand. With a bit of luck and in secret spots, one can go to the beach among kangaroos, which are skittish but very curious animals. They are also actually very confident swimmers and use their tail to swim. Kangaroos are of cultural and spiritual significance to Aboriginal people across Australia. The word Kangaroo comes from the Guugu Yimithirr language which is spoken in far north Quuensland. The word is also one of the first Aboriginal words ever recorded by British explorers. In australian Aboriginal Art, a kangaroo can be represented by a depiction of its entire body, or simply by the tracks it leaves in the desert sand symbolizing courage and energy, but also stamina.
